Ugly Little Greens Workshop

Join us for one of the last culinary workshops of the summer. We'll take advantage of the first of the ripening elderberries, as well as dried elderberries and explore cooking preparations for both. In addition, we'll explore some medicinal benefits, too. This is a hands on culinary workshop where we'll cook together from scratch. Some of the techniques we'll explore are sauces and braising with elderberries. We'll make some elderberry ketchup and a tincture among other things.

We're going to meet at this wonderful urban farm to craft some drinks and dishes made with elderflowers. This is a hands on cooking class where we'll prepare everything from scratch including a cordial and some sweet and savory dishes. We'll talk about medicinal as well as practical applications with elderflowers, too. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Cottonwood Urban Farm so that they can continue their work.
